JoJ API, a service operated by APRYCO, LLC (“we”, “our”, or “us”), respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our API marketplace and related services.
Account information — your name, email address and credentials when you register, or the profile identifiers shared by the sign-in provider you choose (Google, GitHub or LinkedIn).Billing information — the billing details you provide for your invoices and receipts (name or company, address, phone number, tax IDs), and records of your transactions and payouts. Card and account numbers are collected and stored by our payment processors, not on our servers — we keep only non-sensitive references such as a card’s brand and last four digits.Usage data — API requests, IP addresses and browser information, used to operate, secure and improve the services.
Requests you send through our gateway are forwarded to the servers of the API’s provider, including any data your request contains; the provider processes that data under its own terms and policies. We temporarily retain request logs to power debugging and usage views, and prune them automatically on a rolling basis. Aggregated usage counters are retained for billing.
On our product landing pages (jojapi.com/product/…) and sign-in/sign-up pages — and only there — we use PostHog, an analytics service, to understand how these pages perform. This includes page views, clicks on calls-to-action, and, on product landing pages only, session recordings that replay how the page was used. Anything you type is masked in recordings before it leaves your browser. This data is processed for us by PostHog and hosted in the European Union. The rest of the site — the marketplace, documentation and blog — carries no analytics scripts.
If you arrive through a campaign link, your browser stores the campaign parameters from the URL (such as utm tags and ad-click identifiers like gclid), the domain of the referring site, and the page you landed on. This stays in your browser and is sent to us once, only if you create an account, where it is kept with your account so we can measure which channels bring users to JoJ API. We record the referring site’s domain only — never the full address you came from.
We use your information to provide and maintain our services, process payments and payouts, issue invoices and receipts, send service-related communications, prevent fraud and abuse, and improve user experience. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
We rely on third-party services to operate: authentication (Google, GitHub, LinkedIn), payment processing (Stripe, PayPal, and NOWPayments for cryptocurrency), bot protection (Google reCAPTCHA, Cloudflare Turnstile), analytics on selected pages (PostHog, EU-hosted), and email delivery. These services have their own privacy policies governing the use of your information.
We use cookies to keep you signed in and to remember preferences such as your theme. On the pages described under Analytics above, PostHog stores an identifier in your browser to distinguish visits; the attribution values described above live in your browser’s local storage. We do not use cookies to serve targeted advertising.
Transaction records, invoices and receipts are retained for as long as required for accounting and tax purposes. Request logs are deleted automatically on a rolling basis. Analytics events and session recordings are kept for a limited period by our analytics provider and then deleted automatically; attribution data is kept with your account. We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
