You can use JoJ API by adding funds to your account. Everything wallet-related lives on the Billing page: your balance, top-ups, payment methods and billing details. You can add funds manually or automatically — each top-up is between $10 and $3,000, requires a confirmed email address, and issues a receipt.

Adding Funds

From Billing → Top Up, pay with:
  • A saved card — charged instantly, in place.
  • A new card — you’re taken to a secure Stripe checkout; the card is saved afterwards and can be used for future top-ups, automatic top-up and subscription renewals.
  • PayPal — a one-time payment (PayPal accounts are not saved).
  • Crypto — a one-time payment via a hosted crypto checkout (see below).

Automatic Top-Up

Automatic top-up eliminates the need to monitor your balance manually, enabling uninterrupted access to pay-as-you-go plans. Enable it on the Billing page by setting a threshold and a top-up amount: whenever your balance falls below the threshold, the amount is charged to your saved payment methods — your default card first, then your other saved cards in priority order. You need at least one saved card; PayPal and crypto can’t be charged automatically. If no method can be charged, automatic top-up disables itself and you receive an email — re-enable it after updating your payment method.

Regular API Plans

Subscription fees for regular API plans are automatically deducted from your wallet balance when sufficient funds are available. If your balance is insufficient, the fee is charged to your saved payment methods, prioritizing your default card. If neither works, the subscription becomes past due and you receive an email explaining how to settle it before it is canceled.

Cryptocurrency Top-Ups

Crypto top-ups are fully automated: choose Crypto in the top-up payment options and you’re redirected to a hosted checkout supporting a wide range of currencies. Your wallet is credited automatically once the payment is fully confirmed on-chain — this can take a few minutes, so your balance won’t update the moment you return. Partially paid crypto invoices are not credited; if a payment looks stuck, contact team@jojapi.com. Cryptocurrency deposits are non-refundable.
